You have stumbled upon the official site for Psythik, electronic music composer. Psythik is an eighteen-year-old from northern Phoenix, Arizona. He
started playing around with MIDI composing software in '02; he would
create simple remixes of MIDIs, just to dip his toes in.
In early '05,
Psythik began to take his music a bit more seriously; he is now putting
his multitude of original ideas and concepts into actual notes.
Most of
Psythik's inspirations come to him right before he goes to sleep; it's
not unusual for him to be up at two AM putting something together. Some
of these ideas work, others don't; when they don't he is left with
literally half a song composed and no direction. But when they do, the
end result is nothing short of a harmonic miracle (or so he likes to
think).
Psythik is still very new to songwriting; he still has a long
way to go in this musical journey of his.

Spam crackdown begins today!

Due to the massive influx of spam on these boards, I am forced to initiate new rules on the site in order to control things around here, since this has simply gotten out of control.
For now on:
You must be a registered member to post in the Forums.
All comments made anywhere on the site made by unregistered users will not be viewable.
Any questionable user accounts (decided at my discretion) will be automatically flagged for close watch by the administration.
Any member caught spamming will have their account and IP address banned permanently. NO exceptions will be made.
And just to clarify a few things up, spamming refers to:
Posting any sort of advertisement of any kind (what is deemed to be an advertisement will be made at my discretion) anywhere in the site; and, posting random, senseless bullshit anywhere in the site. Please don't make me elaborate on that; use common sense, people.
I'm sorry things have to come to this, but I'm also sorry for thinking that I could give people a little more freedom to post in this website without having to go through the hassle of registering (unlike many sites on the web) without them abusing it.

New samples in the "In Progress" section!

I've decided to stop being lazy for a while by adding four new samples for download in the "In Progress" section (more will be coming soon). Let me know what you think!
In other news, I'm planning on possibly getting around to fixing the right sidebar within the week...

Psythik.com open for business!

After owning the psythik.com and psythik.net domains for nearly two years, there is finally a functioning website associated with them! Of course there are still a few kinks to work out (like getting the psythik.net domain to redirect correctly and uploading all my music), but I feel that what I have here is enough for now. (Click Read More for the rest of the story, and to vote on the site's current color scheme.)
